My work involves a deep understanding of the intricacies of all major Natural History camera systems, lenses, and accessories, allowing them to adapt to the unique challenges presented by filming in the wild. Previously I was an underwater camera technician at Esprit Film and Television. I prepped, tested, set up and loaded professional equipment for Natural History Productions. I have hands-on experience with cinema cameras (RED and Z-CAM), underwater housings (Gates and Nauticam), scopes, sliders, macro positioners, jibs and macro lenses. I produced carnets and researched into new technologies and equipment for large productions.
As a camera operator, my footage has been used for Springwatch BBC NHU on their social media platforms and on Terra Mater's socials. My documentaries have been shown at The Scottish Short Film Festival and Wildlife Conservation Film Festival and my photographs have been shown at COP26 and The National Gallery of Scotland.
